Update: My BMW charger is still giving me a headache. Not solar related or anything else. I'm sure it is the bike itself that is causing the issue.

If you don't have a lithium battery then just buy the Optimate Canbus edition. Cheaper and works really well. Used one for about a year on my R9T until I sold the bike. I kept my bike connected. The charger is intelligent and will monitor and maintain the battery perfectly.

That’s the plan. Will do the electrical tomorrow. Might as well add a plug on that side of the garage.

My inverter is pure sine wave. The guys at GPS4Africa also mentioned something about solar and chargers. Will go get some clarification from them tomorrow. Need to stop there anyways.

Mind blown! Put the charger on the only plug that isn’t connected to my solar and it goes to sleep. Now we know.

Checked now and it is still as per my photos above. Couple of hours in and no change. Popping in at BMW later. Will give it to them to test and revert. Maybe it's my bike not loving it. In that case I'll return it and just get an Optimate and connect the pigtails to the battery.

Thanks for the feedback. Everything is setup correctly. Configured to lithium Plugged it in early this morning to see if maybe it just takes a long time before it goes to sleep. Will go check in on it later and see. Give it some time.
