I've never seen women in fancy SUV's deliberately drive on the wrong side of the road, or down one way streets forcing other road users out of the way.

I took my 1290 on the back of my Supercab. Straight with back wheel juuuuuust on the tailgate (but mainly on the hinged part so very little weight on the gat itself. Diagonal will fit a bit better for sure.

Yeh. It just never seemed to cause much issue on the Vtwins. My 990 sounded kak, both 1190s sounded kak, and the 1290 sounded kak. But no major issues on any of em.

Yeh but to be fair the VTwins also sound like old tractors on startup :LOL:

All the KTM Vtwins are dry sump, even the 950 I think, but definitely from 990 up. They have an oil "tank" at the front of the motor and no sump. Th parallel twins have a conventional sump setup.

Mine sometimes sounds horrendous on a really cold start up. Shit dude!!! Good luck!!!

Small observation from my side.... Anybody know which side of the sump the oil pickup is? I've noticed my Norden is much quieter on startup, and pretty much never gets the very brief "low oil pressure" warning if I start it on the centre stand. I only get the low oil pressure warning if...

Might be a combination of the freeplay, and how far your lever is set from the bars meaning it's not disengaging the cluthc completely with how far you're pulling it? Maybe keep the freeplay the same, but set the lever further out from the bars a bit and then pull and see.

Yeh I'm very aware of NOT slipping the clutch too much now that I have it. I also find playing with the angle and amount of cable play at the "slave" lever itself can dramatically alter how soft/hard the pull is. If you get it wrong you got al the negatives with barely any reduction in pull...

Does it change the look of the screen much? I was always worried about scratches but if it' anything like the 1290 screen, it's tough as nails.

One thing I did find is the 890 has wider finger followers which should help reduce the pressure on the cams slightly. And they are cheaper than the old 790 parts and interchangeable. But there are still failures happening on the 890s as well.

There are so many theories because there are so many instances of this now. The Internet obviously amplifies the failures, but the fact that there's a whole FB group about it.....Yeh. And if you ask a KTM dealer about it you'll ikely get the "Oh we haven't heard of any failed cams here" even...
