I have not ridden the 790 since damaging the shock on our recent Orrie Baragwanath ride and was looking forward to a gentle ride to put my brand new Motoz Tractionator Adv through a few heat cycles.

But I should have known...... nothing is ever gentle or light when you ride with the route master, @Just Blip It!

I rode to meet up with @JesseH at filling station near our houses and from there we took the R40 to White River to meet up with Just Blip It! , Foxi and Roger.

Visited some lesser known waterfalls, this one named Eddy’s Waterfall due to a mate of Mark’s named Eddy tumbling down there a few years ago

After a big breakfast in Sabie, we head towards Bakenkop pass. Mark took us down a steep descent to view another waterfall. According to him, this one did not have a name yet as he has not had riding buddy falll down it yet.

It shall henceforth be know As Selfie Falls....

Nice area. Love those flat rocks.
How would you rate the tyres so far?

Tyres are great. Mark advised me to drop the pressure quite low. Very hard and stiff sidewalls. Grip was astounding after dropping rear to 1,5 bar and front 1,6 bar.

Good to hear. Hope you get good mileage out of them.

I promised my family that I would be back home by 10 am. It was mos only going to be a quick, light gravel breakfast run........ Standing on the rock, it was nearly 12. JesseH and Roger opted to hop on tar from there to go back home while Foxi and I foolishly followed Mark onto a dirt track direction White River. We dropped into a little valley and soon found ourselves on a very narrow, well maintained path, with wooden bridges over small streams every few hundred meters. It was clear that we had stumbled across a MTB trail and we were certainly not supposed to be there, but turning back towards where we came from was not an option. We deliberated and agreed that we would be in big trouble if someone found us there. We would ride out the trail while trying to cause as little damage as possible with the three big machines.
