I checked that last night. The lever doesn’t touch anywhere when downshifting to first.

I will check the splined link thank you. It was serviced by ktm 1000km ago so oil should still be fresh.

Thanks, I will check that. The guy I bought it from was very tall and the gear lever was very low for my 1.75m frame. I’ve adjusted it up, but will have a look incase its catching somewhere.

Is the gearbox and engine oil the same?

I sometimes do, but other times I forget and use the clutch. How is your first gear selection @Noneking ? Why did you replace your clutch springs on your first 790?

Looking at the gear lever again. It’s bloody tiny😂 I also ride with Tech 7’s on the 790 which have a tapered toe box where the SH12’s I ride on the dirt bike they are more rounded have the lip from the sown on sole.
