Certainly in racing when you come up to a helicopter parked with a guy being loaded and see the bike standing there by itself made most of those I rode with ride slower and more carefully.

Its always in the semi loose rocky stuff when the back wheel wants to pass the front and catches us out. Had one of these in very similar conditions about 2 yrs ago.

Re the mousses - absolutely right about Michelin deserts being the only ones worth getting. The rest simply melt or are crap. Worth the drama class of importing them I recon.
