It's the only way to change the fuel map. Once you've done the pipes and filters, you definately need to change the mapping.

Agreed, but that's a small issue. When you take into account the pipes, filters and powercommander. They would still need to be setup correctly on another bike. Mine has been dyno-jetted and is running perfectly, so it seems a shame but yes that is another option. Trade it in at a dealership...

No, I looked into that extensively. Rear wheel would be fine, it's the front that's an issue. Once you get a 21' wheel on there, there is very little clearance between the tyre and the guard. The only way would be to swop out the whole front end, forks and everything, which would be too...
