Transkei is still the ultimate riding area. Conditions look amazing. We did the Wildcoast Eco route from Port St Johns through to Kei Mouth before I headed over this side. We had to deal with a lot of rain and mud....most fun I have had on a bike😀

Thanks Andrew, That's a relief, I was worried that the front flange was different. Guess I will need to order the 950 gasket and heat shield then.

The front header on my 990R is blowing at the front flange. This is rusted quite badly and I dont think it can be welded up. I have a new spare header from a 950 Adv. Do you guys know if this will fit. I have already blanked the sensors, so this will not be an issue. I see that the heat shield...

I think you already know what you want to do. Sell those quads and give it a go. Trials riding is great fun. I have very limited experience on a |Gas Gas 250 circa 1995 and had an absolute blast on it. If I was younger and fitter I would certainly give it a go again.

Wow.... that is awesome. How long was your trip?

I would get it running for now and just enjoy the bike for a while but I think a full nut and bolt restoration is warranted on that old girl.
