Hi Fella!
Long story short : flimsy ... its the standard of the early '80s(like the G/S fork..only more travel). Haven't you ridden DD's HPN? You will feel the diffrence!
Official BMW bikes on the Dakar ...works bikes...
Werner
Hi Fella!
Do you really want tu use the M1???? The M1 wasn't good when they used it on the works bikes........
Nearly every other option is better, (WP Extreme or the new 48mm, Marzochi Magnum50 or 45)
Most of the guy's i know had the M1 changed it to Magnum or WP.

Hi Airhead!
How much Oil you had in? Up to the top of the dipstick?
Don't fill in more than 3/4. Everything above is just wastet. It will disapear pretty quick!

Hi Espresso!
R100GS and R80GS and fully loaded :thumleft: It all depends on your right hand ....
We bought them in Windhuk, changed the rear in Swakopmund and the front in Capetown.
We changed them at the same time in OZ, the front would have done more but we don't wanted to carry them...
Hi!
The TKC isn't that bad.... Our last set's on both bikes fully loaded got 21tkm on the rear and 18tkm on the front.
Ok they looked pretty bad after that but we payed the complete tyre so we used it complete
Werner
Hi Mike!
Another idea is to change the 18" Rear to 17" . Not that i'am very happy with the choice of rubber...but that's another 12,5mm :mwink:
Ask Altus for pictures of Claudia's LowRider seat
Werner
Hi guys!
The tank on ebay hasn't got the airfilter on top of the tank!!
That's just a normal long range tank you could buy in germany years ago!
Werner
Hi!
Yeah! Been there, tried a bike for a test ride.....ended up with a empty bankaccount and never regreted the choice :ricky:
Don't forget to show the progress !
Werner
Hi guys!
When i remember right, back then you could rent a bike from HRC for around 100000,00 D-Mark for the rally season. That included service aswell!! What a bargain ;-)
A friend of mine has seen one of the original's in the Hond museum in Japan....looks good!
Werner
Hi!
