Maybe if I can get a switch with similar internals to build across or modify. the "shaft" that stick out is snapped off. Maybe a good look at used parts place will help.

Thanks for the idea. When I tried that it moved the switchgear too far across because it had to clear the hydraulic clutch reservoir. And if I shift the clutch perch across it is difficult to pull the lever.

I am still a bit old school, but do use OSMAnd and Google maps around known roads. But for plotting routes i use Google Earth and Basecamp with T4A to set a route or track for my ZumoXT, because of the “off-road” paths and tracks that i can pick up. Do the options mentioned have detailed off...

One thing that really struck me when I was there (South Island) was how all the roads are well maintained. Riding in the middle of nowhere I would come across cones or tape where repairs had been identified. Or there would be a work crew fixing the road or wash-away.

Timing is now wrong as i leave for UK and Canada for 5 months. So i will be looking again at the end of October.

@she-rider Thanks for letting me know and a month ago I would have jumped at it. However I now leave for the UK and Canada early in June so it would just stand for 4-5 months. When I get back I will start searching again.

That Triumph 800 was super smooth. They changed the crank firing angles for the 900 and it is not as smooth.

My search is on hold until I get back from Canada in October
