I stand under correction, but I don't think so - I certainly did not notice anything different.

This gearbox came from a BMW 1100 RT with approx 60 000 km. I used it in my 1100 GS for about 3 months while the original output shaft was being replaced.  After installing the original gearbox, I had this one refurbished with new seals, bearings...etc. R8000 Phone Kevin at 0795172360 or email...

No....the DL is a V twin, while the 650 Dakar was a single.  The Dakar is probably more capable off road with the spoked wheels, but its engine does not match that of the DL.

absolutely no other problems!  These engines are bombproof - huge mileages have been racked up on them.

No regrets.  I bought the manual and the engine has such lekker torque that I am changing gears much less than the old XRV. A brilliant engine!
