Ja that FIM motorshow is not bad, lots of motocross stuff but a variety of other topics as well. On ch 31 (on my decoder) ESPN classic there has been a lot of SBK Season review show from early 90's up until now. Very very interestinig as they do an entire season in an hour. Great to see how the...
Thanks for that. Yes I see mixing stainless with aluminium is not really metalurgical best practice either. I see they also offer normal steel or high tensile spokes. Seem the normal steel nickel plates is more popular choice for offroad stuff.
Blikesem maar jy looi hom. Gaan daai paadjie al die pad Atlantis toe? Wow sal dit eendag wil probeer op die At as dit bietjie droer is en ek is nie meer so banggat nie. Great video!
Yeah perhaps I'm being to anal about this, although these pics are scary (not mine) ...yet
I'm gonna take my tyres of this weekend. If its bad then I'm going to get everything blasted and powdercoated. R250 per wheel, what the heck. I think black is probably more practical though.
Guys I'm gatvol of trying to maintain the wheels on my AT. It seems corrosion is a real problem with AT wheels, and spokes for that matter. I've been keepin my eye out and every AT I come across either on the road or in a shop has some degree of corrosion to the wheels. A birdie told me that one...
I just need a spot to vent some steam after watching 2 wheels on TV. What an absolute load of crap. I hope nobody on this forum is affiliated, well if so, then view this as constructive criticism. :laughing4: They just showed a "shootout" nogal between a R3.5m Bentley and the BMW sport tourer...
Snafu R187 is not bad price. I ordered one from Wemoto which was around R190 but then they added R23 shipping charges >:( I did receive it after about 10 days but I haven't used it yet. Will definitely try CLANTECH's setup in the pic when next I have to change plugs.
So I have to verhaul the AT top end with OEM 0.25 OS pistons, rings and all the other seals and gasket that goes with the job. :thumleft:Can anybody PLEASE ???recommend an engineering shop in the Northern burbs her in Cape Twon that can do the bore/honing whatever is required to get the OS's...
I've thouroughly checked for any oil leaks and don't see anything. Zorst is quite black so I'm assuming we're blowing by the rings or valve stem seals. Got quote from Honda Helderberg:
New rings: R540-00 per piston ???
Top End Overhaul kit (gaskets, valve seals etc) R1600-00 :o
So for R2700...
Snafu I've only had the bike for about 2 months. PO never mentioned anything oil related so I can't tell you if it has a history in this regard. It used a pint up and one down so roughly 500ml oil per 450km. Do you know of a workshop with a relaible mech around here?
thanks
Sorry guys that should read 5000rpm at 120km/h not the other way around, too much excitement >:(
Can anybody suggest where I go in the Western Cape for new piston rings and valve stem seals. Seem my AT is using more and more oil. After returning from the Buff over the weekend I used two pints...
