9000 km service came and still there is nothing to report other that a weeping valve cover gasket which was replaced. For some reason the spark plug was also replaced (was only due at 24,000 km). Oil was also changed early and valve clearances checked Cost of the service was R2392

Nothing new. Cars and bikes are both targetted for months (if not years)

For my sins I have to travel to Gauteng every now and then. The best part of the trip is seeing the runway in JHB disappearing into the distance on take-off, with me smiling that I know I will be back in a proper functional city in 2 hours.

.......and don't forget loan bikes when your bike is in for a service. That loaner is always the latest / newest and so difficult to give back later in the afternoon. I am sure a lot of upgrades start that day!

It is easy to understand why. They always have demo models. I have given up on ever owning some bikes as you can never find a demo
