Selling a bike today. need a little advice

Guys, I'm selling a bike today. The buyer hasn't seen it yet but is adamant he's taking it. He doesn't have a Nigerian accent. Naturally I'll not let the bike leave until the cash is in my account. I have one question... I need to complete the blue application for registration and licensing...

    Fuel Tank Thingies...

Hi Jughead Thanks once again. One of thingies ( aka abrasion guard ) had been left long enough. Maybe the best option is masking tape and paint by hand rather than risk breaking one trying to pull them out. The price of a little bit of plastic is crazy. Cheers Malcolm

    Fuel Tank Thingies...

Folks, I need to remove the thingies on each side of the fuel tank for a coat of paint. How do they come off ? I've tried digging one out with a jewelers screwdriver but it doesn't want to move. Can someone offer advise to remove them Cheers MalcolmT

    Fork seal replacment question

Hi Jughead I had the fork leg clamped in a portable workbench,  I could push the plug down with one hand I couldn't hold it down for long. The C clip spun around and and I had visions of it going into orbit and disappearing. Then I'd really be in the dwang. Filling from the bottom seems...

    Fork seal replacment question

Folks, I'm changing the fork seals on my 2004 F650GS and have a problem getting the cap off the top to refill with oil. With only two hands available I cannot depress the cap and fish the circlip out. Replacing the cap would be just as tricky. The daft question for the day is...  Whilst the...

    Where to buy HES sensors

The HES sensors bailed out on my R1150, I've got a replacement HES... And wouldn't mind fixing up the faulty HES as a spare. The sensors are faulty, they quit when hot, the cable is the series B version and perfect. Has anyone bought the bare sensors and fitted to an old plate ? I've read...

    R1150R won't start. What have I missed ??

That is an awesome tool. I've pulled my old strobe light out of retirement. Its so old its not made in china but Taiwan. Would you happen to know if the bottom plugs fire at the same instant to the stick coils ? I've been pondering on an electronic solution to finding TDC.. There's no need to...

Anyone got a wiring diagram ?

Hi Guys,  Thanks a mill for the help in finding the problem on my F650. Its now starting great, I’ll I need to do is finish putting it back together. The original reason it wouldn’t start was the fuel pump wasn’t running. It didn’t prime when the ignition was switched on. The strange thing...

Anyone got a wiring diagram ?

Thanks for that. I was wondering where the ignition pick is. I'll check a little later this AM. First job today is looking around the Motronic relay. I got hold of a couple of wiring diagrams and a simplified one showing the interlocks around the relay. There was some corrosion on the Motronic...

Anyone got a wiring diagram ?

My 2004 twin spark with 8 fuses decided not to start at weekend. The fuel pump doesn't prime when switched on. The pump runs when hot wired. There's no spark, the engine cranks well. I've eliminated the side stand switch, neutral switch, and clutch switch. All the fuses were tested and are OK...
