Cracklin that looks good, do you have any pics and info on how it mounts onto a pannier rack without a dedicated plate? I am curious how it attaches and remains stable on the toad conditions as you highlighted. Thanks

We done and dusted, theres no fuel at the hotel yet. Martin Den Heyer at Rubicon guest house at the top of the village is selling petrol but i believe its at about R30 a liter.

Morning Guys So yesterday we did Bastervoetpad. Conditions were wet and slippery due to 2 days rain . We were on 2 690s so pushed ahead anyway. Total time from the PG bison gate to the summit was 1.45mins, we stopped quite a lot as the radiator hose on one bike popped off and it was overheating...

Hey Ruffian Yeah i expect it to be bad , Volunteers is good now by the way , the tyres are pretty much all gone and farmers have worked on the road , wont be a issue on even a 1250 etc

Hey SpeedMetal Based on that time I would say definitely that is 4x4 times, Benmac you could do in 20-25 mins for example. 2 days is definitely possibly but it will be full days, dont forget the distances between the passes, for example Jouberts pass is a outlier geographically, from there...

Yeah all the passes are open, Bastervoetpad probably being the most challenging now if you on big bike

Morning Guys Just to let you know the tyres on Volunteershoek have been covered with gravel and we have also done some other work in the worst sections, so all things being told its fine for bike bikes to go up there now without fear of dropping R25k at your dealer when you home [emoji1787]

Went down Volunteers yesterday , the bottom 2 sets of tyres have been filled in with dirt and now easily passable, the top 2 sets are still exposed though but they are the easier ones to get over. Naudesnek was fine Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
