Thanks guys. We have also been told after we posted the question that the fuel pump may be clogged. That sounds plausible. So we are going to firstly replace the fuel filter and clean the fuel pump as soon as I can locate them. Nwanetzi

Thank you, I think that I shall follow your advice. I shall have a pillion, so I shall rather play it safe and double up back trough Meiringspoort and go to Graaff Reinet via De Rust. Nwanetzi
