You are dealing with a different mindset than what we encounter locally.

Yip this is often overlooked and is why I will never buy a bike with tubed tyres. Complete deal breaker. In a big group it may be a different story but riding alone and being stuck next to the with flat needing repair leaves one vulnerable to whoever passes by.

From what I can tell the new KTM 390 will be released later this year. There have been a number of spy-shots published of final testing so I don't think it is too far away.
