the R155320.50 is worked out on 15000km per year on a Land Rover Freelander according to the AA. This is the actual running cost for the year. It does however exclude the repayments if you finance it. Scary ne'

changing your oil can only be good for the bike. even if you dont change the filter. Dont change your filter. The oil change cannot void your warranty
That is a fair price for a major service.
A lot of pro workshops use diesel oil for bikes. Also, sometimes the costing clerk at the dealership uses the wrong code for the oil and they didn't actually use diesel oil

I think the Transalp is one of the most underrated DS bikes on the market. They are very reliable and cheap to maintain. They also come with a two year guarantee which means the bike you want to buy is still under guarantee.

You sound like the guy in George who wrote to the newspaper about the bikers chasing away the "takbokke" in George dam area. Its a plantation and the roads used by bikers are used by 10ton trucks every day. I might be wrong, but apart from the JHB ZOO, I don't think "takbokke" even exist...
