The motor has not given me a moment’s concern. I’ve seen people speak of 200,000km and more. I would do serious checks and balances on any motor I wanted to take me that far, but genuinely I don’t think you need to worry about the motor.

Your current ones function too well.
Maybe it will go better once you start rebuilding the C10?
When Mr & Mrs Zog were leaving SA, I bought some books at very very good prices for my Dad. Tony Park if I recall.
I’m starting to get them back from him in dribs and drabs so I must read them now! 😂
We are watching from all the ends of the earth, and Polokwane 😅 Rian.
Here the neighbours are building a pypkar but I’m sure it’s minuscule next to that C10!

Gary, going through the same here for July & August.
Worst thing I find is that you have to get the team to fix it - you can’t do it yourself.
Best of luck 🤞🏼
Spoke to a gentleman yesterday who bought an F650 with really just cosmetic damage and he’s spent R40k doing it up (albeit with upgrades) so keep that in mind. Reasonable price for a “standard” good condition Dakar is probably R30-40k.
