soft luggage suggested solutions for GS1250 please

I use my 10 year old ATG Overlanders on my 1250. Lost a loop here and there but they still work great. I have Motoradical pannier frames but it doesnt matter what frames you have with soft luggage.

    BMW GSA1250 Balance

I moved from a 850GS to a new 1250GS in October last year and I have found the 1250 is easier for me to manouver in slow turns (eg parking). I am short at 1.7m so have always had trouble with these big adv bikes and keeping them upright at slow speed. I dropped the 850 twice in 3 years...

    For Sale 2021 KTM 500 EXC-F

A friend of mine, not on the forum, is selling his KTM500 with only 19hrs on the clock. She was bought to be converted into a light adventure bike, but he never got the time and so he bought a 690 with rally tower etc all completed. Been sitting on her finding a reason not to sell her but not...

    Sorted KTM 500

Sorry for the Hijack but a buddy of mine will soon be selling a VERY VERY nice 500 - with only 19hours on it. I think its a 2018 model. I spotted it on here about 18months ago and he bought it but hasn't ridden it. He had planned to fit all the usual rally kit but decided on a fully kitted 690...

Biker kidnapped - end of a travelling era in Africa?- Resolved

Read this a few years ago and also really enjoyed the book. Would love to see his talk one day. I work in the mining industry and we are about to start an 18month project in southern Mali - where it is apparently safe . . . . . .

    New BMW F900GS Premier

I've had an 800Gs and now a 850GSfor 3 years. I find the 850 is brilliant in all areas except low speed technical (absolute pig - due to weight) and the front suspension. With the new suspension and lighter weight, looks like they have listned to their customers and this will be a winner in my...

JHB - Baviaans - Die Hel - October (route ideas please)

Thanks for the advice guys. Due to some changes we have decided to skip Cape Town and concentrate on a smaller area. Current plan looks something like this: Day1: JHB-Gariep Day 2: Gariep to Willowmore to Baviaans (Krugerskop) Day 3: Baviaans to Angies G Spot to Knysna to Plett to Angies Day 4...

    General mechanical training.

I know you are in the Cape but last week BMW Motorad Fourways held a "Know your bike" evening. I went with a buddy and it was pretty good. They had loads of open parts on tables (quick shifters, entire engine parts, drive shafts etc) and there were a few very knowledgeable technicians and some...

JHB - Baviaans - Die Hel - October (route ideas please)

Thanks for the advice. I guess there is always that tradeoff between making distance and riding slow enough to enjoy the ride. At this stage we have a total of 7 days to leave JHB and get back. Turns our getting to Cape Town is not a must so now need to find the best route to Die Hel and back in...

    X KULCHA ( question)

I also have the easy overs with the zips on the side. Been commuting with them in winter for the last 10 years. I cannot wear them in summer as I get wet with sweat and they are too hot. I love mine so much I have had them repaired 3 times. Last time was a week ago. My right zip had failed and...

    Best Adventure Jacket ever?

Interesting thread as I will need a new jacket in the next year or so. I bought a BMW rally jacket in 2013 and it has been brilliant. ticks almost all of those boxes but they are now just too expensive. Only issue I have had with by Rally is the Velcro needing replacement and the main zip...
