Need help finding Needle and Seat for 950Adv

Oooer....fuel in the oil doesnt sound good. Way too rich can cause barrel wash - the excess fuel dilutes the oil film in the barrel - can lead to premature wear. The pump that i used was the 40178. The original recommendation was 40105, but it seemed the flow rate was too high - about 114 lph.

Need help finding Needle and Seat for 950Adv

To the best of my knowledge the 950 and AT used the same Oe pump. They both suffered from the same problem, and the facet was commonly used as a replacement. I've noticed that my pump clicks quite loudly when the bike is hot at idle for a while, or grinding on slow technical stuff. I suspect...

not really sure. If it works the same way as the Honda, it receives its power via the ecu. Ie it pulses quicker as the revs increase. If the base pressure of the pump is low enough, is shouldnt need a bypass

I take exception to this accusation by the insurance salesman. Here's the PM - you decide if it's threatening / aggressive. Quote from: Sam on Today at 03:10:47 pm anyone that knows me would know that it takes a hell of a lot for me.to complain. I assumed that you were an intelligent...

I did say that the OP was my last say on the matter. In the interests of fairness, I will add that Wayne contacted me this evening and offered a myriad of reasons why they weren't open. His response included an offer of free accommodation. Thanks for his response. Offer not expected or necessary...

Need help finding Needle and Seat for 950Adv

Ah I see! I didnt read Tiger's response correctly. If you're running a facet pump on there, the pressure does seem to overwhelm the float needle at idle every now and then. Might also be a cause.

Hi - I assume that you're referring to the needle on the slide? Known as the jet needle. I think that what Gerrard is referring to is the float valve / needle - it's a different thing. If this is the part that you're looking for, it usually comes with the float. Not sure if that seat is...

I'm usually the "silent customer" who simply moves on when encountering bad service. This incident brought the "red mist" down though......I've waited a couple of days to post, so as not to do so in anger. I can be quite hot-headed, so bounced this off of a couple of close friends......who had...

    Repairing sidi boots?

Was chatting to the chaps at GO-MX in Blaauberg. He reckons that he doesn't bring in, or sell, SIDI anymore. They've gone to using some "environmentally friendly" glue - pretty much every pair that he's sold over the last couple of years has been returned with soles falling off.
