So after leaving my bike (a Husky 610 TE) for 2 weeks at Bikers Warehouse and having to basically beg them for feedback, they tell me today that they can't find out whats wrong with the bike and "given the age of the bike its not viable for them to work on it". What??!! The bike is only 9 years...

I think you might be right and someone might be talking kak. Managed to track down Blazes and like you he also doubts its an ECU issue...
