I would go EJK type over a booster plug at least you can “map” it and not just trick the bike into thinking the air temp is colder than it actually is.
Yip it is not advisable to run the bike with an open pipe without adding fuel, remember the Cat is restrictive is in the std exhaust and with the FMF it is not there, so with that and the filter you have added more air to an already lean bike.
Your options are something like an EJK type piggy...

I did. It’s been a while since I rode a big bike, that engine is pretty handy at launching it down the road, even 2 up, all the electronics, quick shifter up and down and cruise control. Nice to have options.
