    How many of You commute?

Fortunately I only leave home around 8.30am, so the sun has at least had a chance to show itself. My ride it about 20-25mins as well, so here's hoping 🤞

    How many of You commute?

I alternate between bike and scooter depending on the weather and whether or not I need to run errands during the day or on the way home. Scooter makes stopping off at the shops simpler and also potting through the suburbs. Bike is for hopping on the highway. And since I just sold my car, this...

Yeah, same issue here. But there are techniques to get around that though. So it's just a case of becoming familiar with them.

100%. So that's where I'm at right now. Not going to ride above my ability. Already saw my ass once before, so building that experience and confidence.

Haha! Short sh*t myself! Walked into the dealership and immediately nope'd the Xpulse 200 when I stood next to it. And it wasn't even the rally version! Even the NH-T200 at 812mm seat height, I can't flat foot. Pretty much on my toes, but it is what it is. I'm new to riding, so it's just...

If you're not planning on doing much or any highway stretches, I would even look at the Hero Xpulse 200. It's by no means fast, but it's tough as nails and I've seen guys do some incredible things on them. Exceptionally frugal as well. The reason I didn't end up going for one is purely because...

Yeah R16,000 more. And if you compare R59,995 for a NH-T300 to the R94,995 for the Versys-X 300, it comes in far cheaper.

Oof. Sorry to hear that brother. Hope it doesn't become too much of a headache.

Agreed. Maybe sometime down the line, if I feel that way inclined, I'll look into upgrading sprockets. But for now, I' chilled. Finding time to ride is hard enough, so until my needs change, no need to change the bike.

Yeah, I couldn't see that changing. It's probably simple oil changes. So if you don't still worry about the first 2yrs warranty, then just ride it and service if yourself if you can. I'm one to speak though, 8 months in and I've done 1,500km only 😅

Given that I paid R35,995 for my NH-T200, I can't imagine that the NH-T300 will be R30,000 worth more bike to be honest.
