I've just remembered my '67 (I think) Ford Transit van, with a V6 3000 engjne. Also a gas guzzler of note. It had the original gearbox and diff, and the ratios were too high for the V6. End result was that I broke the engjne. I eventually flogged it to a kid who was keen to rebuild it. I wonder...
