Well well well, so my last post was approx 9 years ago on this forum, and no I wasnt banned......dont think so ;)

Well so many things has changed I was quite active member here on Wilddogs attended a few bashes dropped the bike more than I care to admit, but then life took some strange turns. Back in 2013 me and Collar wanted to emigrate to Canada we were weighing up some options as you do, and then collar fell pregnant and we have twins, so obviously no time for biking and we got rid of our bikes.

Fast forward one year later, my company closed doors and I was looking for a new job, quite a period to go through having 1 year old babies at home and all this happened on the 7th December, holiday plans, Christmas lunch plans all out the window...survival mode set in for us, my wife was amazing as I was still shell shocked. 6 months later I found a job that took me 2 hours in the morning and similar in the evening, so 4 hours out of my day commuting. Solution..... well buy a bike.... Collar not too happy with it but I explained it was to benefit us both as I would be home a lot earlier to help with the evening routine and still get to spend some time with them before they have to go to sleep.

Easter weekend 2016 came around, and the Tuesday as normal routine I set off for work on my bike, as I drive down Maraisburg Road (now Albertina Sisulu), a guy turns in front of me and I do the T-Bone jiggle and the accompanying O..F.K!! moment. Spent the next 2 weeks in ICU and another 2 in general ward, well had the normal injuries Tib Fib, concussion, scrapes bruises and yes compact fracture to my lower back. My then year old job gave me shit from day one.

I then got a call from the new owners that bought the old company that I worked for, they want me back as GM. So on returning to my job I unceremoniously resign, much to their surprise, I just thought you bloody hypocrites while I was lying in ICU I was making deals in China from my phone.

So started my new/old job..... I still had this feeling of looking at moving my skills and family to a new country, and in 2018 it arrived out the blue a company I dealt with in the UK wanted me to come for a interview.......and that November 27th we stepped on board a Emirates A380 to start our new life in the UK.

Based in Nottingham now, and I am getting that feeling of buying another bike, although Collar gives me the evil eye everytime I mention it, the countryside here is just so amazing and the sweeping roads look so attractive with many many little farm roads that leads to spectacular views and history.........so maybe that next adventure bike is not far off.........! :ricky:
