Hi folks

I have been interested in builing my outside braai/chill area using compressed earth blocks/bricks. Has anyone done this before?? are any of you in the building trade that use this method on a regular basis???
I have asked around at my local building supplies and all I got was a few blank stares as they had no idea what i was on about. only interested in selling me clay bricks or concrete blocks.
In my research into this whole idea, its seems that overseas in various places that folks are using CEB to build pretty cool buildings.

I see there is a manually operated ceb maker machine that you can operate on your own to make the bricks, anyone used one before?? I know this is a labour intensive process, where you mix your soils and cement, then press out the bricks in your little brick maker or whatever, wait for them to cure, and then start building. it certainly seems way more convenient to just go out and buy ready made materials. But the more i research the more"natural/sustainable methods of building the more i am keen to do it.

rammed earth is another option that i am looking into, but that seems to much like a fiddly process with all the form making to get the wall up?

any input or ideas on how i can go about this will be awesome(y)(y)

the bricks look like this, kind of like a lego block
