Hi all,
after Easter I plan to travel around ZA for a couple of weeks. The route planning is done and I could do with some up to date infos on road conditions:
Has anyone done the Monantsa pass recently? Plans are to travel from Witsieshoek via this pass to Butha-Buthe and out again to Ficksburg.
Later on, after the WC Bash I intend to ride the Ouberg pass coming from Sutherland. According to some posts on this forum the Tankwa area had heavy rains and vast areas were flooded in December. In another post riders encountered severe flood damage at the Ouberg pass coming from south-west and had to turn back. How are the road conditions at present?
Finally - has anybody any information on the Tsitsa Falls Backpackers near Maclear? Does it still exist? I tried to contact them but no response.....
