Klaarstroom Hotel is a Gem which can host 18 People. The perfect Place for a Mini Bash or Weekend Getaway with Buddie or Wives with excellent Rides in the vicinity. It boasts a lekker Pub and Pool and a lekker Kuierarea. The Rooms are fantastic. The Hotel is way over a Hundred Years old and under new Management. The Owner is American but Management are Boere and they host you like only they can. View attachment 914928
I agree, it's such a lekker hotel. Having breakfast on the front stoep looking up at the back end of the Swartberge is the best way to start the day.

Our next Destination is Prins Albert via the beautiful Meiringspoort, Oudtshoorn, Redstone Hills and over the majestic Swartberg. As we pass the Parking Area at the Waterfall in Meiringspoort I noticed the Hand Rails on the Footbridge, which is arched, are bent from the recent Flood. I cannot believe what I am seeing. The evidence is visible throughout the Poort. We stop in the quaint Town of de Rust where I buy Zambuk for my cracked Finger at the Graaz and I notice a koddige Mannetjie with a funny Hat and a Ostrich Feather in it. As we roll out of CG I remember a measured KM just out of Town and I summons the Lads next to me for a rolling Dice. There is no Traffic and at the Mark we go, the BM and 990 jump ahead but as my 790 get into the Powerband I pass them and then the Quickshifter helps me to beat even the 990. We turn at Redstone Hills and forget to turn at the Cango Caves turnoff and before I wipe the Crap out my Eyes we are in Calitzdorp again.😵‍💫

We hit the Tar back to CG and have Lunch, from there we head to the Swartberg on a leisurely Cruise.

We arrive in Prins Albert late Afternoon and find the Hotel fully booked. The Lamborghini Boys are in Town and have booked the whole Place. So we booked the Place next to it. We shower and have a wonderful Dinner across the Street. The Owner/Host/ Chef is a Lady in her 50's with an Arse of a 30 Year old. After 2 Glasses of Wine I crack and compliment her on her Assets. She graciously accepts the Compliment. We have a few more Drinks and I tell the Lummels that I'm retiring early. They choose to stay out longer and I wonder waste kak hulle nou weer gaan aanjaag.

To no Surprise to me they had successfully Gatecrashed the Lambo Party and the next Morning a ghastly sight awaited me when I went into their Room. Showing no mercy I kicked them out and an Hour later we had Brekkie on the Hotels Stoep. Then one by one the Lambos came roaring down the Main street, some even greeting the Moron's at my Table.

Lamb chops to Lambo's... I must admit, you guys know how to do a proper bike trip. And then probably going back home and telling your wifes about all the dusty small towns and boring plains of the Karoo. :D;)(y)

Friday the 13th is my SiL's Birthday and we take a slow Ride back to Merweville on the Gravel to the N1 and then the Blackstuff Homeward. We Shower, slip into casual Clothes and ride through Town . There is an old Gentleman and his Wife selling Roosterkoek on the Pavement, a little Fire going for Atmosphere. We roll in to his Facility and order 3 with Konfyt en Kaas and make smalltalk. I notice he is missing one Leg and has a deformed Foot on the other. A Homemade Leather wrapping serves as a Shoe. We leave him a generous Tip and as we depart I mumble a Thank you Prayer for all our Blessings. We stop at the beautiful Church and eat our Roosterkoek.

Bloody awesome ride! I will comment again later

Not sure what the temperature is like in Merweville now, but I just got pics from my aunt on the Rantepad between Sutherland and Fraserburg, and it is snowing at the moment. We're heading there tomorrow, with an 11deg max predicted for the day.

We head back to our Base and slowly start Packing up, every now and then we retire to the small Stoep to have another Beer and my very attentive Stepson notices that the Gong on the Church is out by one Hour, that the Rubber Cap on the right front Caliper on the Bleeding Nipple of our Car is missing after the 150000km Service and that my left big Toenail has a Crack. We compliment him and have another Beer. The Boys then load the Bikes in effortless Fashion, two facing forward, the BM backward as it should be.;)
Our Host is a wonderful Lady, she has a spartan but comfortable Guesthouse, we prefer to stay that way in general. I told her about my SiL Birthday and asked her to prepare Leg of Lamb with roast Potatoes etc. We had Rustenburg Cabernet and deboned Leg of Lamb which honestly was the best I ever had. We head back to our Cave and I tell the "Gentlemen" that we are leaving at 03.30 and I retire. I hear them muttering about some Brandy that has not been consumed and would affect Fuel Consumption, I ignore them as I am dikgevreet and tired.
