I'm in the process of moving to a farm with limited storage so this baby will have to go for now.
I've only managed to do about 10,000km in the ten years I've had her, so also time to be realistic about my priorities.
Very neat, clean bike in great condition. She's lived in my garage with a dust cover on with the battery on an Optimate.
In earlier years I used to take her to Donford in Cape Town but the last two most recent services were done by the local bike workshop (who only recently obtained the BMW diagnostic kit, which is why you're still seeing the Service indicator)
License valid up to mid 2025 somewhere.
Snag list:
- the tyre pressure sensor batteries are dead. I have a replacement after market set but they have yet to be installed and coded.
- the spotlight switch has popped out and lost its guts. Used replacement part from bike breakers seems to be about R1000 which I haven't deemed necessary until now.
Some upgrades:
- foot pegs and side stand enlarged
- BMW alu top box and pannier set in great condition, with inner bags
- Akrapovic exhaust
- crash bar bags
