Yep - these little machines are incredible in terms of fuel economy: I fill up with R71, and eventually forget when last I filled up  :thumleft: The 200cc version does not seem to have a limited speed - I do 110 - 120 km/h on the highway - maybe this was done by the agents on the 125cc model...

BMW C1 - no helmet required, lekke sound system, cubbyhole, fairly weather-proof, fairly safe, light on juice, Rotax engine, can do 110km/h easily (enough under most circumstances). I do approx. 60km / day, with the buggest grin factor imaginable  :thumleft: They are scarce though...

Commuting on the old Kalahari just does not make sense, so recently added a little BMW C1 200cc scooter to the garage space. Although I was initially a bit skeptical, I am loving it: no helmet required, no fogging up visor, cool little built-in sound system, 30km/L, windscreen, wiper, sunroof...

Gents If anyone is heading for Cape Town (from George) in the foreseeable future, and is taking a trailer, I would be hugely appreciative if I can put my newly-bought C1 on the trailer as well  :) (from CPT I can fairly easily get the bike to Pretoria...). :thumleft:
