Looks like the quarry ride is still a go for Sunday so will have to take a rain check. You guys should check it out,  seems like a hell of a lot of fun,  more technical and challenging but the regulars seem very willing to accommodate newbies...

Yeah,  being able to ride with ones family sounds ideal. Still getting my wife used to it but my daughter is pretty much sold on the idea. Give her a couple of years and I'm sure I'll have a regular riding companion. Looking at getting her a little quad bike soon to get her started. I'm in...

Will have to see about Sunday, I have tentative plans to join some of the WD's on a quarry ride. But I recall there being some mention of them not going again this year, will need to confirm if Sunday is cancelled.

Thanks Anton, might give that a try. No need to cut holes in the foam though, those top vents don't feed into the helmet.

Thanks LSS, will have to deal with the slight discomfort for now. If I find I do a lot of off-roading going forward then I'll look into getting a regte egte mx helmet.

Yup,  took the ones with the smallest frames that I could find, but there is quite a bit of foam around the edges,  so I think trimming the excess away should do the trick

So I bought some goggles today... They kinda fit,  but do touch the top of the helmet and hence push down on my nose a bit which is mildly annoying. Hopefully just cutting away some of the foam will help a bit. Having said that,  I've never owned an mx helmet,  so this may or may not be a...

I'd also like to know,  almost bought a pair of goggles today,  not even thinking about whether they'd fit. Please let me know if you get a pair,  and I'll do the same if I get some this weekend.
