If you are only driving the coil of the relay from this wire, then it should be fine. I assume that you have taken the feed to the elements of the grips directly from the battery via a suitable fuse?

Post the circuit diagram that came with the grips that we can see what is required for the Aux wire?

When approaching blind bends, keep to the side that allows you to see most of the road ahead. ie left hand bends, stay close to the centre line, on a right hand bend keep close to the left. This will allow you to see further around the bend and avoid "unseen" dangers.

I have taken 3 bikes to a roadworthy and not even taken them off the trailer or started them!!!
