    2006 KTM 950 Adventure Clutch

Might be the result of lazy shifting. Happened to me once or twice when I just got the bike. Move the gear lever one or two notches down, or make sure you shift all the way up. Hope this is your problem, otherwise it might get expensive...

    1200gs, KTM990 or 1200 Tennere?

I would be carefull to hammer too much on the whole weight thing. I just renewed my license for the katoom, and according to the natis docs my bike weighs 250 odd kgs. It might be that Yamaha is just more honest about the bike's wet weight... :peepwall:

    Heidenau 150-70-18 tyre test.

I put 8000km on a 140 Heidi which has started to square a bit in the end (It can still do quite a few km's). I have ridden lots of mud with all the rain we got earlier in this year and again kilometers of mud during our EC trip with the snow and rain on graded roads. No problems at all, just run...

    Let's talk about this again...

+1000 I am in the process of watching LWR again at the moment. Just love the Mongolia part of their trip. Even if they joined the backup team to cross rivers etc, they still had a blast and an amazing adventure.  :thumleft:

    Tiffendell - Tenahead - Naude's Nek

We are doing an Eastern Cape trip next weekend. Our second day would cover Lundean's and Naude's nek. I would like to have the trail from Tiffendell to Naude's Nek via Tenahead as an option depending on how the day progresses. Does anyone have the coordinates to share with me? Or is the entry...

    Michelin --Desert 140-80-18

I am on my third Mich Desert rear at the moment. On wet tar, if I open the throttle, the tyre just spins up without any traction!  :o But on dirt it does do good. I have managed anything between 2500km and 5500km on a tyre, depending on the right hand wrist, and my bike is heavy. (And then I do...

Fitting a rev counter to my XT660??-DONE!

What Sidetrack said about wasted spark should be taken into consideration, but other than that it should be fine. The KTM LC8 motor fires the spark plug at compression and exhaust strokes. So if you run a normal rev counter on the HT lead, your rev counter will register 2000 rpm when the bike...

    Zagser's KTM adventure story...

Nav, the ultimate pump would be the Facet 40171. Autozone would be able to get them for you. The main reason is the fact that the 40171 pump has an anti-syphon valve, which stops fuel leakage through the pump when not running, preventing fuel from running into the rear cylinder through the carb...

    Zagser's KTM adventure story...

  When I speak of performance, I must point out that the gain is not in HP, but more the fact that heat is dissipated quicker resulting in quicker airflow and a cooler running exhaust (which in turn might free half a horse or so...). I know the feeling on the wrenches, but...

    Zagser's KTM adventure story...

Just some quick feedback on the headers. I had the bike on the centrestand a couple of times, running it until the fan kicks in to check the oil and water etc. I also rode it at highway speeds and had the temp rise a bit due to the technical ride. After all that this is what the two looks...

    Zagser's KTM adventure story...

This is the original thread: https://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=572356&highlight=underseat+storage According to this guy it is 7" square, and 2" deep. The hole I made is the same size as the open square section below the plastic in the subframe, and plan to make it only as deep...
