Maybe I should have been more specific. The tool is a link press, yes. If however you remove the middle plate, you use the middle hex grub screw then to 'rivet' the links. The head is indented and fits perfect on the head of the rivet. :thumleft: Falls under the same category as center punch...

I bought a chain link press from these guys: https://n2bikeshop.co.za/shop.php Paid R200 about three/four years ago. I use a small grinder to remove the old chain, and then use this to rivet the new chain. Done it a few times, and for me it works. No need for the uber cutting and riveting...

Just another vote for OsmAnd. Used it during a recent trip. Created my routes on google maps. exported it and then uploaded to the app. Offline maps quite up to date, with even the smaller 'twee spoor' tracks on it. VERY usefull.
