I must say, I also like the black look. Now just to get those panels covered in a fresh layer of Electric Orange and she will look GOOD! Just might have to save quite a few months before that can be done...  ::) I will drill the holes tonight when I do a few more things, thanks for that...

    Zagser's KTM adventure story...

Hi Gert. Its the best way to get to know your bike, and to pick up any possible issues.  :thumleft: The fuel pump is still running 100%. I am riding to work and back for the week to see if any other gremlins might show themself before the weekend, but so far nothing. I just need to make sure...

Hi A. Thanx. No I have not drilled it. When I took the swingarm off, it had no water in it. You think it is worthwhile to do it? I suppose the best time to have done it was before it was coated, after it was taken off?  ;D What size do you suggest, 3mm?

Hi Briv. I have only made provision under the seat for the new pan, but still need to make it. I have some sheet metal lying around which might come in handy. I might even consider some aluminium and make use of angle alu and rivets to build it. The other option is to have it made in...

Engine sounds butter smooth. I might just have forgotten, but it sounds even better than before. I have not done the carb balancing yet. With the hunting something of the past I am not in a whole lot of hurry to do it. Apparently the local KTM guys have a dyno, so might just send it over to them...

    Zagser's KTM adventure story...

The outride on Sunday morning was a mixture of tarred roads at highway speeds (sometimes even higher...  :peepwall:), fast gravel, jeep tracks and a steep incline shrewn with loose rocks and washouts. Perfect for testing the bike. Having read all the negative comments in Orange Crush about the...

    Zagser's KTM adventure story...

I bought the tennis racket tape to put it on the frame where the crashbars is fastened, and for the crashbars where they usually get scratched. Then it was time to install the Brad Harris plugs for the power outlet in the cubbyhole. Preparing the clamps and wiring. I then epoxied...

The rest of the plastics, tanks etc were fitted, with the bolts threaded, but not fastened. Then it was time for another one of my experiments. The cubby hole, or top stage box as called by KTM. Woohoo! It fits. Straight on, without the need for any jimmying, moving, manipulating or...

It's time to share my trials and tribulations from the past weekend. I started again on Friday evening, and had the bike ready for the first test ride on Sundag Morning at 04:20, with less than 5 hours sleep since I woke up to go to work on Friday.  :eek7:  But more on the test ride...

It takes the electrical load off the points. The points on the pump is coroded by arching when opening and closing, in order to do this the points need to be in a reasonable condition. Hope it makes sense? Thanks.  :thumleft:
