I wouldn't. Personal choice but it has saved me once or twice. If you have a breakdown caused by it, its easy to diagnose and bypass.

This is the wiring for the immobiliser antenna to the ECU - check that your new loom isn't faulty - it seems like you have eliminated the other likely causes (battery and antenna ring).

I have the combo on my 1190 - you won't do better.

Wire the power for the spots via a 10A fuse to the battery directly. The power outlet is a good place to T your trigger wire for the relay - it remains live for about 15 secs after switching off the bike - very cool feature to have the spots on for a while - particularly if you park in a dark...

Trade secrets...... To be honest, using the Canbus wire for GPS power routing up is easy. To power spots, it makes sense to remove the headlight as you will want to conceal much of the harness behind the headlight, and route the wires down through a drilled hole in the base of the housing.

Even with my dik hands, I can get to both ACC1 and 2 without removing anything. Push your hand in under the compartment that holds the cig lighter - tug the harnesses out and you will find the connectors.

Correct - the seal is made on the pump shaft - it is not a seal that can be purchased separately - you replace the entire pump.
