This week I am just watching the thread. There was some baby-related thing that kept me from my scoot on Sunday. Oh yes... I had my kid. I miss riding!!! Didn't do even a single muddy ride over the winter  :(

Flex; the mounting points on the frame are different for the S vs. the E model bikes. So my tank will fit perfectly onto your bike. When I get paid next month you have first dibs. We will negotiate a reasonable price :) If you are interested.

Flex, don't do it! I bought one of those 17liter clarke tanks. Clarke make a 14l tank for the E model and a 17l tank for S and SM model - the tanks are attached in very different ways. What ettiene did, and what I did, was buy a 17l (SM) tank and make a plan to fit it to the E model bike...

A simpler way to do the fan story: buy a second hand left hand rand from a DRZ SM from the interwebs. The radiator is exactly the same size and shape, but it has a thermostat and a fan fitted. So just needs to be wired up :) However, if you do that, you can't fit radiator guards onto the left...

TKC 80  upfront, ALWAYS. it's the best tire ever. Grips solid in dry and wet. Tar and dirt. Great mileage. Back tire; I am using a... sh*t... I can't remember. It's a good tire. Will look and post here later.

DR650 is a better bike than a KLR (brakes, suspension, reliability), the only downside is the smaller tank. And it will be less comfortable than the KLR over long distance (narrow seat, no fairing/wind protection). Budget more than you expect for gear. That stuff can get pricey. My personal...

It catches on the chain and then gets ripped out of the frame, leaves a nice R5-coin sized hole in the frame, as per Taboo's post.

I'd ask for a reduction and pay. If they've found you, then it eventually becomes a warrant and the contempt of court fine is heavy, as is the worry of being arrested on a Sunday morning or at a random roadblock. That process from first notice to issue of warrant takes about a year. But get it...
