The local bike mechanic here where I live had a look, and immediately reckoned the problem is with the carbs and not electrical. He proceeded to remove the carbs to clean them, and long story short, I need to replace the diaphragms on both the carbs. My next step is to find the diaphragms...

Thanks. I removed the tank and seat and side fairings, and loosened the l/h radiator a bit. The left front one behind the rad...jeez! I replaced all four plugs because my AT started running uneven about a week ago. First it was very subtle, only noticeable on uphill, but it got progressively...

Do I have to remove the side fairings, the tank and the left hand radiator to change the plugs on my RD04?  thanks.

Terrible! It was exactly a year since I lasted posted here  :(  Two days ago I rode with a friend of mine from Tulbagh to Sutherland, to see him off on his own trip to Malawi. Afterwards I went back to Tulbagh via Middelpos.

A friend of mine, he's an artist,  is looking for a small commuter 125 - 200cc for less than R8k  - scooter or Chinese bike will be fine - anything reliable and affordable. We're in Tulbagh in the Cape Winelands. He lived in town where he could just walk everywhere, but now he's moving to a farm...

Does anybody know of a secret way to remove the pin which holds the rear brake pads in place on a AT? I know you're supposed to just turn it out with a screwdriver, but this one is in TIGHT and I don't want to damage the slot.

I need a new or good used rear brake disc for my RD04. I can get one from Trac Mac for R1 700, Are there better or cheaper options?

Hi Groenie. thanks for the reply. I can use the hoops if they're close in dimension to the OEM's in the photo, I have a guy who can make them fit on my bike. Will PM you.  :thumleft:

Chris, thanks for the reply but I was specifically looking for those oval hoops with the four slots, they work perfectly with my Wolfman kit.

Is somebody on the forum still making or supplying these hoops for racks which work with Wolfman and other soft luggage systems? I need two of them.  :thumleft:

Yes, the spacer is there, with the shoulder next to the left fork. Axle is tight.  I think it's natural to get a couple of millimeters of play along the axle if you nudge the right side fork a bit when the axle locking block is loose.

The speedo drive looks good, it's not spinning and seems to record fine on the speedometer. Tomorrow I'll take the fork cover of again just to make sure the the marks on the speedo drive and fork register. I did about 60km this morning with no touching from the disk, after I re-tightened the...
