No, that would have been the simple solution, but I rechecked that. On the right hand side it's only the hub, speedo drive and fork. The spacer on the left is in place. I'll take off the caliper today and see if it slides smoothly all the way. Also doubt if the disk is buckled.

No, I changed the original post. R27k without the Safari tank and Wolfman racks. Bike is licensed and registered, will pass roadworthy.

Pete, I'm in Tulbagh near Ceres/Wotcester. The bike is completely original, only thing that was ever done to the engine is valve clearances.
