The cosmetics like the silencer, seat, fairing etc. on the prototype in the pictures are obviously camouflaged. I'm sure the final production model will look much different. The engine, frame, suspension and wheels are probably the only parts that will be similar to the final product.

It will have more power and torque the XT660z, hopefully it will be significantly lighter also, AND if it can come in more affordable than the 800GS  :thumleft:

I always pay my camp fees, never implied otherwise  :) In other WD posts, and posts on the 4x4 forum I've also seen references to Louis as a contact person for the camping at Verneukpan, but on the contacts page of the website I only see the names of three other people ...

I'm thinking of riding out to Verneukpan sometime soon, is this where you camp?  https://www.verneukpan.co.za/index.html are there other camping spots also? Is the whole area private property? I want to ride leaving Tulbagh/Ceres - via Middelpos, Williston and then Verneukpan, avoiding big roads...
