Im busy ordering a starter relay from Suzuki in Worcester, just got a quote...R1000  :o

The clutch switch is bypassed, don't think it can cause the problem. I bridged the two poles on the starter relay with a screwdriver and the bike started immediately, so there's enough power from the battery. I suspect a problem with the relay?

My bike se simptome is bietjie anders, die speedo en instrumente, ligte etc. werk reg, en die bike verloor nie krag nie. Main fuse is fine en battery is ook fine.

I don't know, I disassembled the button and everything looks fine, not sure how to test it.

If I bridge the starter relay with a screwdriver the starter motor turns. I don't see a fuse on the relay.

No, i only checked the main one on the battery. Where is the relay fuse?

Thanks for all the replies. yesterday I tried charging the battery, but it only charged for about 5min before showing Fully Charged on the charger. I disabled the side stand switched long ago so I doubt if thats the problem. I bypassed the clutch switch wires right after the starter stopped...

The blue wire that goes up from the neutral switch looks fine. The oil deposits mostly around the gear shift and front sprocket area. Looks like the oil leak and the broken neutral light could be un-related - I can't tell -  in which case I now have two problems  :(

I found that connector, it looks fine.

the neutral switch is a plastic part - held in place by two screws - with a small brass contact point connected to a wire. I removed it today, checked the O ring, put it back, and tightened the two screws again.
