Now you see Stu, I was so scared you would raise the comparison on the SMT.  It would kill me to loose that thrill, the sound, that feeling of "do I have enough power to hold on to this thing and not get launched off the back?  You wont believe all the compliments the SMT receives, with 44k kms...

Suppose my mind is doing "naughty" now?  Keep the 990R and replace SMT with SA?  Best of both worlds. 990R great offroad and SA for touring.  Watched a couple of reviews on youtube and read a few articles, sounds like SA is great for touring, acceptable offroad but not the ultimate offroader...

Scared of just that, don't want to loose the offroad abilities of the 990R.  Might look at the 1290 also, looked slightly bulky initially, but hey, who am I to judge (135kg myself)  

I need some advise plz. I currently have 2 x Ktm's (for whatever excuse 8)) Both 09 models, 990SMT and 990R Adventure, respective with 45k and 16k on the clock. Thinking of selling both and getting a 1190R. Anyone here done the same? if so, how did you find it?  Suppose the question should...

Anyone out there with any fuel system parts that I can buy to see if I can get my low mileage 990R back to life again. Anything, throttle bodies, injectors, cables....what have you, even an engine. Revving at between 3 and 6000rpm when in neutral and nobody seems to be able to fix it...
