R1400 for the Y-pipe and R1900 for the oval pipe. Round pipe is a little less, around R1500.

Thanks for the info. So what does the ECU use to base its calculations on? Does it just use a Volumetric efficiency table VS TPS position and RPM? If it makes any difference to you guys with the 1200's,  I have a bone stock 1150gs. If it helps your cause and you need it to be tested anywhere...

Thanks for the info. Im definitly interested if work allows. As a total novice to riding, would it be recommended to use the Transalp with all terrain tires or the heavier GS with Meizler (spelling) tourance tires, or is it that easy I wont have a problem with either.

How easy are the roads, as I have stated before, total noob..... If its pretty easy, I would like to come along (work permitting of course).

Thanks for the info guys. I think its worth an extra bit of investigation on my side. I loved the 1st gear on my TransAlp, really easy to do some slow riding. I do need some more saddle time on the GS. I didnt get to ride it much before I left the country for work.

Im not too worried about the extra offroad ability of the GSA. My offroad limits are way lower then the std GS. But I do like a shorter 1st gear, makes for easier slow riding. Surely replacing the whole box is a little OTT. Surely you can get the 1st gearset from BMW and just replace it as you...

I just got a 1150 gs, after doing some searching I found the GSA has a shorter 1st gear. Has anyone changed out their Gs's 1st for and adventure one? I like the idea of the shorter 1st, and would like to try it. Any help or advice would be great
