Fitted new stator coil. Bike starting very easy now. It runs a little cooler now to. I think the coil must have heated the oil. No more cutting out and it idles very smooth.

It can be done in EL but im rather getting a new one as it would be the third time it would be repaired.

Thanks allot guys, it's the two single wires. I think they charge the battery. One of the lobe things is also darker, looks like it got hotter than the others

H,i has anyone have a coil for sale or perhaps know of someone that knows o a reliable place in Durban area that can rewire them?

The stator coil is earthing. New one is R2800. To get it rewound is around R1000. But this will be the third time it will be getting fixed. Any ideas on what would cause it to malfunction?

Won’t run with choke on. Unfortunately I don’t have spares to swap out. Colleague recons it is possible to check the coil behind the flywheel with a multimeter, ill have to google that. Thanks for input

I tried starting my bike again last night and it starts fine and throttle response is very good when it is cold. Soon as it heats up it cuts out when I turn the throttle and won’t start again.

The little spring on the auto decompression mechanism broke. I put new spring and I also fitted all new seals, timing chain and cam shaft bearings. The bike is starting easily and goes well.

Hi, Would it be possible that the auto decompression mechanism is hindering the exhaust valves from moving and has anyone heard of anyone having problems with the mechanism?

Not sure if they where loose while I was setting, I was focusing on not bending the feeler gauge. After setting gap there was no play. Bike starts easier when it’s hot (with happy button) and it starts first kick even when it’s cold.

The coil by the flywheel has been sent away for rewinding. The hooter and kill switch are together in a housing and the hooter doesnt work. I was thinking maybe this will have something to do with it.

I have taken the carb off and cleaned it, no boiling but ill try it. The spark plug is new but not the cap. Does anyone know what the air screw setting is? I think most bikes its all the way in and then two and a half turns out? Can i buy the spark plug cap from any bikeshop or must it be from...
