Hi guys.Hope you can help.Got the 3 bearings and dust cover.Want to replace my rear wheel bearings.Do I need special tooling to remove the old bearings and is it possible to do this without going to the agents.Thx.

Eish!Yes happy to say it's a 1150 and not 1200.OK I presume I need to take of the tank to do this.Is there some thing in the thread index to guide me?I hope its just a float that's stuck but I see nothing in the thread on the topic.

Yes Welsh the gearbox is black.I gave the agent the VIN no.the engine no. connected to the VIN no. is different from the one on the bike. ???So it seems the engine was raplaced?

The black engine thing intrigued me.So after a few phone calls and talking to people in low places I find out that my GS's got a RT engine in its belly.A few things I noticed was the long 1st gear.Can go up to 60km before changing to 2de.Cruse comfortably at 140km with refs at 4000.Would not...

Thanks guy's.I used AL angle 25mm.Made brackets next to the indicators.Mounted the spots on top of that.Looks very pro and its nice up high and won't damage it a tip over.Will try and load pictures.

Just follow the thread index (thanks to Grotex).All you need to know is in there step by step.I did mine a last week, and with me it's "monkey see monkey do".Did not replace the oil and it's OK.While you doing that check the front ball joint rubber mine needed to be replaced.Bought a rubber boot...

Hope you clever guy's can help.Where and how do you mount spot on a Dakar? Want to mount them up high and not on the crassbars and would like to be screwed on metal and not plastic panelling.
