LOL yeah yeah... The bike is a 2012 690 and R80 000 but it does come with panniers and rally kit... :ricky: Its in Namibia.... long story.... I'm busy buying mine so this one is for a mate of mine also looking for one. Let me know what you think... I probably should have asked from the start...

LOL okay thanks guys! So I think its safe to say that a bike with say 40 000km on wont suddenly after 500km blow up on me for no reason! Cool! If it does I know where to find you guys ;D

Thanks... Was mostly referring to reboring and sleeve work. Piston rings etc etc. I mean if a major component fails its bad and cant be foreseen but mainly talking about basic wear on the engine. Like I had to redo my AT XRV 750 at 70 000km...

Hi Dogs! Just a quick one here... I would like to know when can one expect to overhaul the engine. Some trends on the site mentioned 40 000km? Has any one of you overhaul yours and if so at what km's? I just don't want to buy a bike at a "good" price and then have to overhaul it a few weeks...

I had a 1998 XRV. Ran 72000km on it before it started using oil so redone the engine and it was good as new. Just check the clutch upgrade Check for subframe upgrade as they break on the T Check the fuel pump that its original as many guys modify theirs. Check the rims for cracks as those rims...
