Thanks for all the advice.  Can anyone suggest where i can find the case and not have to pay a left arm, leg and a few right toes, after all, my aim is not to have to spend as much as it would be to buy a new one.

I thought that might be the case...was just hoping. Another Question, what could a break like that have damaged in the engine after coming to pieces.  We're putting a new gear box in, bearings seem to be fine and shifter does not seem to have been damaged.

My son and I are messing about with trying to fix up a "Chinese"...dont laugh :laughing4: 125 pit bike motor as a first time rebuild, trying to learn about all this engine stuff.  I need a bit of advice on some damage on the left crankcase. Attached some pics of what it's supposed  to look like...

I used to call my KLE500 "The Growler" till I got my XT660R, and I knew that the "Blue Baby" was actually "THE TRUE GROWLER" ... I love the sound....GRRRRRR.... >:D ... Darn you all for making me feel like riding while i'm at work.
