ASO did that last year.  I am not a fan.  Either the org provides a bike/rider shuttle for everyone or no one should get one.  This really gives an advantage to some racers (extra rest, less wear and tear on the bike, etc).  IMHO it also takes away from the spirit of the rally a bit. Maybe...

Sort of part and parcel with it being an amateur rally (aka low cost).  The big rallies have crews pre riding the entire route one day or so ahead of the racers verifying the road books.  The racers get updates the night before each stage to the provided roadbooks based on these pre riders...

Any photos of the road books?  Wondering how much detail is in them (cautions, etc)

I've been lurking for a couple of years watching this rally grow to what appears to be an epic this year.  Thanks to everyone who contributes to this thread, much appreciated. Cheers from Canada :thumleft:
