I'm sure it's a lower compression engine which takes more oil. The biggest issue with the 450s was always the lack of oil capacity. I bought my street legal 06 wr with 500km on the clock and religiously changed the oil every 1000km. The motor eventually went bang (ran a bearing) at 11000km due...
