I have cut the heads off cable tye's and laid them down the length of the filter so that the lid presses down harder and seals better .The lid seems to be bowed in that area.Grease I lather on filling any gaps.

Wipe it out.If u r worried do an oil flush and then a change.Fit the Ktm powerparts foam filter.Cloth(DNA) air filters are not great for dusty conditions. Mine came with a DNA and it was the first mod I did.Also my air box lid and filter are greased when refitting.

Don't waste yr time.Epoxy a brass ,ss or other disk in there and move on .Mine messed up 3 rides .I even made a heat shield between the exhaust and master cylinder thinking that the heat build up was causing it.

A friend of mine had a cottage on the lagoon.It used to be an adventure just getting there.We used to dive the point in front of those red sands.Beware of riding on the beach .The local game guard may nail you.
